The world a child builds tells their story.

The World Game is a non-verbal, projective test that takes only a few minutes. The child builds a village from wooden elements. A qualified professional gains insight into their wellbeing, cognitive level (giftedness) and learning strategy.

A child building a small world from wooden pieces during a World Game session
Why it works

A test a child can't rehearse, in a language they don't need to speak.

Regular questionnaires and IQ tests rely on language and right answers. The World Game observes how a child builds, and what they place where. A trained eye sees more than just a score.

01

100% non-verbal

Language and literacy are never a barrier.

02

Projective

The child builds their story, and any need for help, on the table.

03

For everyone

Not tied to age, and especially revealing with giftedness, neurodiversity and children who speak another language.

04

Evidence-based

A proven test, refined over decades of international research and use by practitioners.

One session, three insights

What does the World Game tell you?

A built village gives insight into three different aspects:

A finished World Game village built from wooden houses, trees, animals and people
Cognitive

How does the child explore the world around them?

Structure, reasoning and abstraction, including hidden potential and (high) giftedness.

Pedagogical

How does the child handle their world?

Learning style and thinking preference (visual-spatial and/or verbal-sequential), and the conditions a child needs to thrive.

Social-emotional

How does the child experience their world?

Relationships, communication, inner tensions and any blocks that hinder behaviour and wellbeing.

See a child beyond test scores

When a child’s results or behaviour puzzle the team, the World Game shows how they think, learn and feel, without relying on words or right answers. Refer to a certified practitioner and read the report together.

  • Three lenses on one session
  • Non-verbal, so language is never a barrier
  • Especially revealing for gifted and hard-to-read children

I really enjoyed participating in The World Game Practitioner training. The curriculum was both engaging and thought-provoking. It offered a creative and innovative approach that kept me fully invested throughout. I found the content to be not only relevant but also inspiring, and it has sparked new ideas for how I can apply these strategies in my own work. I am genuinely looking forward to what is to come as I continue to grow with the training and certification I have received.

I trained as a World Game practitioner in Switzerland July 2026 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Understanding giftedness is complex, and tools such as the World Game are particularly valuable because they equip practitioners with the human and relational skills needed to communicate meaningfully with children. Such approaches are rare, especially compared with the standardised forms of assessment, and I found the experience both enriching and inspiring.
